SLEEPWALKERS Category: Music It's been said that people fear what they dont understand, or they fear CHANGE. Now...I KNOW I'm not alone as far as being sick & tired of hiphop artist's sticking to the SAME re-stirred, re-fried, over-cooked, formula when it comes to creating music. Artist's are SCARED TO DEATH to take risk's, and chances with their music out of fear of losing their fanbase or record deal..I understand.....BUT SOMEWHERE along the line you HAVE TO BUCK THE SYSTEM..and do what YOU FEEL and BE who YOU ARE. They are letting their true destiny & path slip away...If you spend most of YOUR life trying to be SOMEBODY ELSE....you'll NEVER know who YOU ARE or who YOU'RE SUPPOSED to be. GOD carved YOUR OWN path out for YOU to follow. When we first heard Busta Rhymes, Outkast, Mystikal, Alicia Keys, The Fugees, Ludacris,Eminem, Kanye West, 50 Cent, T.I, Akon, Lady GaGa..etc,etc...did THEY all try to sound like whatever was CURRENT at THAT TIME? Hell to the nawl!!..THEY came with THEIR own brand & style of music..and in the end..they reigned supreme & victorious. DO YOU. BE YOU. Fans, label reps, friends, visitors..GIVE NEW CREATIVE MUSIC A CHANCE. Accept CHANGE, it's 2010..MOVE FORWARD..Look out for and listen to us indie artists that brang that NEWNEW, REFRESHING & ORIGINAL MUSIC. Now i also know that this is a BUSINESS, and music HAS to SELL.. I can dig it..I got my club/party joints too..but I also realize that there has to be a balance. Cant party ALL the time because life AINT a party ALL the time! Sometimes..ya' just wanna zone out & let ya' minds and eardrums go to St. Elsewhere(Shout out to Gnarles Barley) I'm talented enough to swim in the Mainstream, or dig through the underground.
