I am a nurse who enjoys broadening her knowledge of the biological sciences, chemistry, pharmacology, toxicology. As a Second Soprano, I sing with the Bel Canto Chorus, a local choral group in Milwaukee, WI.
I am a lover of the Arts -- visual arts, theater, dance, etc.
But most of all, I love music...all kinds. I am especially fond of acoustic guitar solos, piano, voice, sax. I like jazz -- all kinds, from Dixieland to smooth. I like the blues, folk, rock, pop, latin, reggae, island, old school R & B, gospel, choral music. I am a huge fan of the great Singer/Songwriters of our time, and I admire contemporary Composer/Arrangers. Ambient Music is a recent addition to my list of musical loves.
I'd like to venture into uncharted waters and start recording my voice. I have a list of songs I'd like to work on, record and upload to this site.

Collaboration Yields AMAZING Prog Rock Tune
Sep 15, 2010
Oatmeal Stout and Robert Wessel of Eden Concept have collaborated on an exciting Prog Rock tune called Waves in Orbit. Wessel's masterful guitar and bass tracks enhance the piece which also features winds and strings. This is Definitely worth adding to your stations / favorite bands! http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=995920
Far Sleep: Worth A Serious Listen...
May 6, 2010
Just thought I'd post a quick note. Check out my friend Far Sleep! His Electronic/Ambient music is phenom! His most recent piece is "Finally Let Go"...beautiful. Right now his tune "Sun and Stillness" is # 35 on the Ambient Charts and more than worth your time. Cool thing about being a friend is I get bragging rights!

Now that I have a little more free time, I am really enjoying poking around on here. A TON of great music. Perfect for someone like me who has a wide range of musical tastes. Acoustic will always be a favorite for me, though - the simplest sounds from great instruments. And voices.

I want to know what became of the changes
We waited for love to bring
Were they only the fitful dreams
Of some greater awakening
I've been aware of the time going by
They say in the end it's the wink of an eye
And when the morning light comes streaming in
You'll get up and do it again
Amen
Caught between the longing for love
And the struggle for the legal tender
Where the sirens sing and the church bells ring
And the junk man pounds his fender
Where the veterans dream of the fight
Fast asleep at the traffic light
And the children solemnly wait
For the ice cream vendor
Out into the cool of the evening
Strolls the Pretender
He knows that all his hopes and dreams
Begin and end there
I'm going to find myself a soul
Who can show me what laughter means...
And we'll fill in the missing colors...
...in each other's paint by number dreams.
Music...the best medicine there is for a broken heart.
