original songs and poems, some free jazz, just all around rolling out some originality!

In a jazz combo before I left my birthplace,Roswell, New Mexico to go to L.A. My mother played piano by ear and that's what she taught me. But then I fell into poetry and now the extensions of poetry even out into the universe (or somewhere other than just me). "Larry extends his poetry into all aspects of performance, using masks or costume if appropriate to the poem. He's played piano all his life and now likes to improvise on piano & keyboard, sometimes to poems . . . he emphasizes reading aloud but loves the printed page and has edited and printed books and mags from his duende press. his writing comes from the myth of local inspiration, and his work often generates from organic gardening and love for his native New Mexico. he is a risk-taker in language and a political and social and literary satirist in songs and poems."
