I have always been considered something of a wordsmith - I think that means I talk too much - and I have always jotted down poems, prose and phrases, often in rhyme. Then two months before my 58th birthday I decided to learn how to play guitar. That made it easy for friends and family to buy me Birthday (24th Dec) and Christmas presents.
After learning a few chords I began to put some of them to my words and before long I found I was writing lyrics, not only writing, but breathing and dreaming them. I don't have plans to storm the nation or go on X Factor (I can't sing - proof of which is available on this page) but I would like to hear a pro or semi pro band play some of my songs, it would be great to work with someone like that and see what emerges. Ambition or just a pipe dream ?
