Hello, My name is Greg “KomPleX” Walker. I was born august 27th, 1991. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I have lived in Pittsburgh, West Virginia, and South Carolina. Since I was born, I have always been very interested in music. I did not begin to actually write music until I was 11. I started writing lyrics due to the things going on in my life. Music has always been an escape for me. At the time I started writing, I had just moved from my hometown, Pittsburgh, to a city near Wheeling, West Virginia. I was very depressed, and I found that writing lyrics was a great way of not only escaping but addressing my pain. Since I began writing, it has developed into an obsession. I not only love hip hop, I live for it. From the time I stared, I have developed a lot as an artist. I went through many names. The one that stuck was KomPleX. I chose this name because of my deep appreciation for lyricism. I love music with a positive and complicated concept. I have many influences such as: Tupac, Nas, T.I., Chamillionaire, Eminem, Ludacris, Dyin Slowly, Common Wealth Family, Marcus Reid, and Wiz Khalifa just to name a few. When I turned 16, I was introduced to a local artist named J’Shan. He basically “Put me on the Game.” He showed me pretty much everything I know. He has helped me develop as an artist and as a man. I am now on his label Die Slow Records. J’shan introduced me to Mindbender, owner of Mindbender Productions. I recorded my whole first album, Tha Birth of A Legacy, there. I released my first CD in April of 2009. Since I have begun selling my first CD, I began to record a promotional mixtape from my home studio. I intend to release this sometime in June.
