Unified Past is a power progressive rock band from Syracuse, New York. Guitarist Stephen Speelman possesses a master’s degree in classical guitar performance, bass player Dave Mickelson is currently a member of Joey Belladonna’s Chief Big Way, thunderous drummer Victor Tassone has appeared on several independent artist releases, and they have now added Vocalist Phil Naro for their next CD release - early fall of 2015.
The music of Unified Past can be described as guitar and drum driven power prog that displays the influences of 70’s era Rush, 80’s era Yes, Queensrÿche and King’s X along with modern influences such as Tool and Dream Theater yet delivers a unique and identifiable sound all of their own. While there is most certainly plenty of chops to be found in this band’s music, their overall sound focuses more on melody and song composition than it does on technical gymnastics.
Unified Past's 2013 release, "Spots", on Melodic Revolution Records (MRR CD 22005) was their most gripping recording yet and connected with all fans of progressive rock. Their next release, “Shifting the Equilibrium” - coming September 2015 - promises to deliver 6 power prog compositions clocking in at 55 minutes.
If you are a dedicated fan of progressive rock music then Unified Past is for you.

Hey whats up Steve. Thanks for the add. Yeah .. finally got around to this .. I needed to mainly because the music store I was using on Myspace just completely shut down lol. But it's just as well .. THIS thing smokes what I had on Myspace lol! So it was for the best! Nevertheless I just signed up yesterday and got my work/fun cut out for me. Gonna upload "THE TRAIL DISC 2" and my latest effort "VSKAPES" . I totally love that I can post songs on Facebook cause I'm on there like all the f'n time lol! So since yesterday .. anything that I played on I've been posting on FB whether it be from the past or the present :-) Glad you're gonna still play around with those songs..Thats cool mon! And I love TENSE btw .. It's right there with FTSPS.
