I am just wondering if anyone can suggest the best possible route for home studio recording with PC. I have Cakewalk Sonar and Cubase, A pdl board with DI USB output, and mics. I also have a drum sequencing program, DKFH to add programmed drums. I am asking what it is exactly that I will need from a computer to host and perform correctly with multiple programs running. Should an Intel i5, windows 7 64bit, 4gbRAM and 750gb HD with 2 T external HD support what I desire? As well as having 5.1 Surround system, I will need to know what soundcards seem to function the best for their (resonable priced of course) dollar. Thanks
