Hello World. My name is François Bessing, I was born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico but I am from everywhere. I moved with my family at young age to Michigan, Washington, D.C., Florida, Georgia, passed through France, Belgium, Amsterdam, Cameroon & Chad, Africa as my dad pursued his education.
I am a Singer/Songwriter of various genres. I seek the true Spirit of music that creates some of the timeless music that spans time indefinite and becomes permanently lodged in our hearts. I began singing in church and expanded my songwriting to Country, Classical Pop, R&B, Soul, and have sung various genres as a Bass/Baritone. I've sung in German, French, Italian, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, various African Dialects, Russian, and a few other languages. This nurtures my belief that music is the language of the loving as it reaches across the language, racial, and prejudice barrier to bring people together. I've been singing since I was about 5 every evening with my family at our nightly vespers and have been songwriting for about 7 years now.
I tend to write songs about the times, events that affect me personally but also the world at large. As such, I write without a genre in mind but moreso to the way I feel about a subject. This allows me to be free from expectations and perspectives that may not be informed. This also liberates me from prejudices to be honest as a vessel giving the world of today the messages needed for this generation.
