Jean-Luc (Jake) Franchell aka Phi Roze was born into this world April 19th,1990 in Albuquerque, NM. From a young age he grew a great interest in music, by 5th grade he was playing percussion in the after school band program. He played drums all throughout middle school and was supposed to go on to marching band in high school... That's when Jean-Luc's whole life changed in a new direction after being arrested in 8th grade for marijuana possession; thus getting kicked out half way through the year... The summer of 2004 was Jean-Luc's time of awakening to the world of rap music with his first real inspiration, "Kottonmouth Kings." The things they said and did directly reflected what the young rebel was going through. He loved it so much he started writing raps on scratch paper for fun.. By the time 9th grade rolled around Jean-Luc aka "Jake N Bake" (as he was called at the time) was a major pot head, which his parents despised... Only 3 weeks into the school year, Jake ran away from home because of his mothers threat to send him to bootcamp or charter school far away from friends and family... After a week, Jake was found at school, and that day same day all his things were packed and stuffed into his fathers truck..By that night his whole life had been moved to a small rural town in Colorado..The pain and anger that arose from this huge life change gave Jake inspiration yet again to start rapping about his trials and tribulations.. 4 years Later, He's Back, For Good...
