I've been involved in music ever since I can remember. My dad is a well established guitarist and songwriter. When I was 12 he showed me a couple of chords on the guitar and was hooked ever since. I started on the decks at age 16 and by the time I was 18 I had played at most of the local bars in the bay area along with numerous house parties. During this time we opened a recording studio called Somar Studios this is where I spend most of my time. I've recorded, mixed and mastered projects from several artist from all genres of music. Having the studio allowed me to put together some awesome mixed sets like No Respect, Seven Seconds Of Silence and The Derrick Foreal Project which all gained widespread attention for having powerful tracks and flawless mixes. I’ve produced a considerable amount of tracks through Somar Records ranging from Hip Hop to House, and from Rock to Blues. Over the years of playing at clubs and various events I got to know the night club industry as well as various club owners, promoters and dj's. In 2001 I started promoting and hosting and Dj'ing on my own events at night clubs in Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose, San Diego, Los Angels and different places in between. Last year we formed Rudy and The Funky Coalition a a very energetic and high energy 6-piece Band that Blends sounds of original arrangements of Funk, Soul & Rock.
