I write lyrics when the spirit moves me. I used to have a co-writer that lived down the road from me who would put music to the lyrics but she moved away and I am trying to find other ways to keep making music in different genres and with different composers and maybe even computerized music programs. There is nothing more frustrating than to have a melody and lyrics running around inside your head and to not be able to put them down on paper and play them for people to hear.
