Nephew 24, born Nicholas Soto March 1989 in Los Angeles California, raised and Currently living in South Los Angeles (WS 68th & Menlo). Nephew, a talented Latin with artistic skills since a toddler, developed a bond with music, melodies and words. At the age of 10 his step father introduced him to the Turntable (Technics 1200 MK2) where a daily blast of 70's Disco funk and House music played on 12 in. wax gave Nephew the escape from reality that he needed to get lost in the patterns of tunes and express his creative thoughts, learning word plays and rhythm. Along with constant recognition from teachers on his out standing writing skills and descriptive ability, he picked up an interest in writing rhymes and poetry. At 14, having a better understanding of life and cultures, realizing his environment, and using his capabilities, as well as a heavy love for Rap and the Hip Hop Culture, he took on expressing his community and him self as a whole. With V.I.P. access to beautiful South Los Angeles and its lifestyle, with a little help from his Lap Top, MIC, 8 track recorder, sound proof closet, and of course a beat, let Nephew take you on a trip to his world and his mind. Having become a well respected SUPER STAR Neighborh68d DJ, MC and Fashion Icon (another talent of mine), its time to make moves and show the people whats really good.
