Since George Boettcher is a songwriter at heart, it's only natural that George's career would go through a number of stages before making it to the streets of Nashville. George has been writing since grade school. Mostly poems and short stories. But it was George’s first recording of “Just Being My Dad” that made him realize that he had a gift for writing great songs. For years George has collected over 4000 CD's of various music from all genres so that he could research the music and learn how to structure songs properly. He also took classes and learned from other hit songwriters in the business. George has spent countless hours late at night playing the guitar and writing songs in his notebooks mastering his craft so he could one day have his dream come true of hearing one of his songs on the radio. After writing 200 plus songs, George finally joined NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) and started writing with Janet Goodman, the regional coordinator for the NSAI out of Nashville TN. Together they pinned such hits as “I Like To Drink”, “That’s What He’s Got That You Don’t”, and “If You’re Thinking What I’m Thinking”. George also pinned the hit “Lovin’ The Mud” for the hot country act “Hey Jr.” which later became the theme song for a local mud hole out of Winter Haven Florida. Since then, other local bands have started playing his songs. George is now currently signed as a staff writer with "No Whammies Publishing" in Nashville TN.
