Hi! This is Ralph Tyrrell and I'm up here wearing several hats as the originator of this site. I became a professional composer and musician (guitar/keyboards and programming) and image maker after dropping out of studying architecture at the University of Queensland in the sixties. Since then I've created many scores and soundtracks for stage, film, television and multimedia as well as written and produced several documentaries for television. I have taught 'sound with image' and 'writing' courses for AFTRS, Bond University and USC.
My recent projects include 'Hati Hati Tim Tim', a contemporary opera set in East Timor, a series of solo albums under my stagename - 'ralf' (AU), a reunion project with the Architecture Revue Band (from my uni days) now known as 'The Architects', 'dadmama' with performance artist Maree Cunnington and acoustic duo 'tarnogard' with my luscious and talented partner BarBaRa.
