Hi Daedralord,

You asked about whether Dark Matter was based on a particular mode.  Very interesting question.  The fact is I used a pad which had some built-in added notes including ninths and tritones - and really let the pad shape the (kind of strange) melody.  The piano follows the pad harmony pretty faithfully.  I didn't set out to use any mode but perhaps that's how it ended up.  I hadn't thought about it but thanks for making me think about it!
