WordofSouth.com: For those that don?t know you and your background, who are you and what are you about?
All Star: I?m All Star Cashville?s Prince. S.E.A certified Mix tape Artist of the Year. Representing Cashville, Ten-a-key, signed with Cash Money Records. I?m just the next thing to blow if you ask me, but I mean I?m working. I got the drive of a starving unsigned independent artist even though I got a major record deal. That?s what?s gonna propel me to the top.
WordofSouth.com: How did you end up signing with Cash Money?
All Star: Well, I was just grindin? it out on the independent level. I got noticed by Yo Gotti outta Memphis, who?s signed to TVT, and I signed with him. He was taking a group through Cash Money. He had a situation with them already. In the process he was able to, you know, get me heard by them. They heard a couple songs, liked what they heard, and from there we just, you know, I ended up getting my own deal with Cash Money.
WordofSouth.com: How is it different releasing an independent album compared to a major label release?
All Star: I mean of course the natural differences. The grind?s a little bit different. It?s a little bit demanding. It?s a little bit more demanding as far as travel wise. You know I?m here and there, different cities damn near every other day, but for me, like I said, I try to have the same mind set that I had w
