I was a guitar player/songwriter/"singer" until my playing days were shattered when I was rear-ended on the freeway and suffered injuries to my right shoulder and back. I lost some movement in my right hand which makes picking almost impossible and when I do hold a guitar my neck and shoulder flare up something awful. . .anyway, I was the main songwriter for a hard rock band called My Facade that never amounted to anything and after years of never finding the right singer I reluctantly took over. We never played live much and I was more interested in creating the songs and recording (I could live in a studio) than taking the stage anyway. Eventually it morphed into a solo project called Alter Of Cain when I really started listening to the extreme stuff. I still love melody though and that never went out of my music.

I still have the lil tape with the acoustic version of "Living My Way" unfortunately no-one has a DAT machine anymore LOL, otherwise i woulda worked on it well before now......
