He was born in Waterbury, CT to a Black American father & a Puerto-Rican mother. As is accustomed in many modern lifestyles, his father left him and his mother when he was very young. He lived in Hartford, CT until he was about ten years old, then moved to Florida. This was at a time which was crucial to his upbringing. Without a father figure, he found himself seeking for a sense of family & comfort. He engulfed himself in the life of crime. This led to very bad circumstances. At the age 15, Byron Johnson (now known as TALIS) was facing 23 years in prison for crimes he allegedly commited. Although he had an interest in music since then, it wasn't enough to keep him out of trouble. Thanks to his age and dilligent work on behalf of his attorneys he was able to work out a plea bargain and recieve three years instead. Most of his sentence was served at a correctional bootcamp. This part of his life created a man that thrived on discipline. After finishing his sentence, TALIS continued his march toward reaching his goals in the music industry. Although he was never formally trained, he always had a deep interest in music. The combination of the passion for music and the discipline to persist formed an artist that is ever-evolving. When asked how long he's been involved with music, he laughs because he doesn't remember. Talis is a true symbol of how the American stereotype of a "trouble maker" can break the mold and do the unimaginable. So, be on the lookout! LMTF Owner/Artist
