Originally from South Philly, Joe immediately took a shine to music. Born into the business, his parents owned and operated an artist management company. Some of their clients included: Fleetwood Mac, The Commodores, Melba Moore, Minnie Ripperton, and Isaac Hayes (Chef on South Park).
As a Pro DJ, He spun along side the best in the business: Kid Capri, Jazzy Jeff, Biz Markie, and Cocoa Channelle. He also opened up for top artists such as: Lords of the Underground, Doug E. Fresh, Masta Ace, Sam The Beast, and Redman.
After moving to Virginia, Joe was instrumental in putting together an effective street team for the world famous "Ruff Ryders". Some projects included: The premier of the Ruff Ryders Documentery DVD in Richmond, VA, The Official Ruff Ryders Talent search at the Waterside Mariott in Norfolk, Shows with Jadakiss at John Marshall in Richmond and the Norfolk State Univ. Homecoming, and The "Wink" 1100 Motorcycle Stunt Show in Richmond.
As an artist, Joe shows his love for Hip Hop by continuing to make music with local producers and artists in the Hampton Roads area of VA. His mixture of underground beats and lyrical wit are accompanied by his ability to cut and scratch "Like a Blade". Hence the name Joe "The" Butcher. His desire to make hot music for the streets will keep him in the game well into the new millennium!
