The life of My Son
Jul 31, 2007
Jesse was born on 3/31/79 He was ( My ) first born son. He was 26 when he passed away and had accomplished so very much in his young life. @ the age of 10 his father and I divorced and Jesse was to never see his father again . At the age of 15 he was sentenced to 4 years at a detention facility in Hawaii, for youth and did his time and obtained his High School diploma. Upon graduating he was released from Ko'olau boys home on his 19 th birthday to a halfway house on the Island of Oahu. After compleating the required counceling and family counseling he was released to the care of (me) his mother. He moved to the Big Island of Hawaii and had experimented with drugs. He then relocated back to Honolulu with me and was in trouble with the law for about 6 months. He met a girl by the name of Jaqueline and they dated for a few months. Jesse came to me and told me that he had met a girl and he was in love with her. Jesse came to me with questions about if he should tell her about his past and what he had done to be Locked up . I expressed to him that he should be honest and tell her the truth! If she loved him as much as he loved her then she would accept him as the young man that he was becoming. So he did and they were a couple. Jackie became pregnant and they were planning to be married soon. They were married with in a year. Jesse was taken in to her family as if he was blood related and her father treated him as his own son. Before long Jesse was running his own crews, and was supervising other workers. His father in law found that Jesse was good at what he was doing and put him in charge of proposing and bidding on jobs , which resulted in quite a bit of work for the company. With the company traveling off the island to the outer islands Jesse's father in law gave him an acre of land for him to build his own home. Jesse and Jackie had their first son Kainalu. Jesse was 22 when he had his son and I was so blessed to be able to be there for the birth of his son and my handsome grandson. Jesse never left the hospital once Jackie went into labor , he never left her side until............. kainalu was born. Jackie was yelling at Jesse to come to her side but he remained at kainalu's side till they took him away to do the stuff they usually do you are not allowed to see them do like wash the baby and stuff. Well it did not stop Jesse he followed them and would not let his son out of his sight. He was so proud to be a daddy and was a great dad even tho his own father was never there Jesse was. The next year they had Hokulani . She was born with the same problem that Jesse had as a baby and it was worse, she had not only 2 holes in her tiny heart she had a bad valve too. For the first 6 months of her life Jesse and Jackie took such good care of her and had to feed her through a tube in her nose till she was strong enough to have open heart surgery. The day she was put in the hospital Jesse would not leave her side he would hold off going to the restroom till he could not wait and he refused to eat or sleep. They would have to wash him up and help him change clothes from exhaustion of staying awake for days at a time. He did not want his daughter to cry and him not be there. He would later say that he knew that she needed him there by her. And he stayed and with in a week of her surgery she was thriving well and with out assistance of the tube. In three more days she was released from the hospital and to this day is doing great. And that was what he did. It would take Jesse nearly 2 and a half years to complete His own home .He worked very hard with his own hands to build a Fabulious 5 bedroom home.Kula Maui ... He committed suicide and is gone. There are a lot of stories to be told . But at a young age he is gone and memories are all I have left. I miss him. I love you Jesse

The echo of every The thunder reflects the agony of my Heart . Emotions that are like a Tearing of fabric Straight from my heart waiting to Hear him so much it hurts, pain and Lostness are all I feel. being complete, that is the way I fell apart. Just to think of never being close to him. If I could hear him I would feel happy I close my eyes to Some how think he will be there But he is not. The ocean has become is his fury and the calmness of that too. There is no comfort That anyone can give You have lost your life Your will to live Memories of you I will have places for you always in my heart no one can touch that or tear it apart. The lines and sorrow Etched on my face I am missing you..... My son Jesse
