Lou, Thanks for the birthday greetings, yes indeed playing music helps rejuvenate the old bones. Having a 6 year old running around the house keeps it pretty lively too!

Happy New Year Lou, Just listened to Tush, another good job! The vocalization on that song is a hard one to match. I'm trying to do Allman Brothers Blue Sky but I don't have the vocal range. I'll either drop it down an octave or just make it an instrumental. I had an accident New Years day and have been on short term disability. I've been trying to recover so i can get back to the grind. I just don't heal as quickly at 58 as I did at 28. Peace be with you!

Lou, I just wanted to thank you for your kind words on my cover of "Back in Black". I didn't sing the lyrics - it came with the backing track. I played all the guitars except on on the right channel that was already on the backing track that comes in a couple of times during the song. Thanks for listening! Rick Lamoreaux

Lou, How's it going? I've been inundated with work recently, it's really sapped my creative energy. In addition to long hours, I've been doing a lot traveling. My strategy has been to visit a few music stores while I'm onthe road just to keep from losing my callouses. It looks like I'll be staying in Garden City, Long Island for the second week of November, then on to San Ramon, CA for a couple of weeks. Keep the music coming! Peace be with you

Lou, I'm glad you like the idea of splitting out your cover tracks from your originals. I just listened to Surfin USA, great job on the harmony. I saw the Beach Boys in concert in '66, they are awesome. My son is a big Brian Wilson and Phil Spector "wall of sound" fan. I've posted a couple of his songs on my original page. I don't have much experience with recording software. My son bought a Mac last year and uses Garage Band that was bundled with it. I bought him Cakewalk Music Creator a few years ago for his PC and that's what I'm using now. I haven't exhausted all of the features of Music Creator yet, but I've started looking at Sonar as an upgrade from Music Creator, when I'm ready. So far I'm satisfied with Cakewalk, it's inexpensive and has enough out of the box features to let me dabble without breaking the bank.

Louis, For general purposes the music is from "backing tracks", a cd with the instrumentials only. added my voice after a practice run or two to get the balence of voice and music to a somewhat acceptable level. Well done, taking the Battle of the Bands at the House of the Blues. Keep livin' the dream... Have a Happy 4th. Kirt

Louis, Thanks for your kind words on my cover of Johnny B. My part on that is only the vocals, therefore a person like you that can play the music also is steps ahead of me. My dial up connection is going to cause me to wait till the weekend to go sample your pages songs but I look forward to it. Love the AC/DC photo, wish that the pipes would be used more often in our western culture of music.
