Lisa Russell is a Singer/Songwriter and Guitarist from London, she was reared and inspired by the sounds of the eighties soul her first memories were Luther Vandross, Tina Marie, Roy Ayers, Stevie Wonder, Rolls Royce, Ella Fitzgerald, Carole King, Anita Baker, and later Tracey Chapman, Joan Armatrading, Indie Arie, Diana Krall Coldplay, Dido, Corinne Bailey Rae , Jill Scott & the list goes on .
Lisa who writes songs that can appeal to the young and old, has a soulful unique tune something to behold.
She was once quoted saying " I write lyrics for endless time, songs which have meaning and enjoyment to the listeners ear".
Her music style is fresh, chilled and relaxing .
Lisa started singing at an early age of 11, she started seriously writing at 18 and revived her passion for music after a long break.
It is here where her story beginnings, she has worked and collaborated with a number of artists and is set to release her EP in the spring 2011.
