Cheers David, thanks mate so much for stopping by and for you kind comments, adds and feedback - the best thing about this site is not showcasing our work but the great interaction we get as a direct result of that with people like yourself and all the other great folk here - the sharing of music and the thoughts and ideas associated with these songs is priceless, it's pure gold to old fans and musos like us who want to remember a time where if you wanted to hear the top 40 then you better have had a transistor radio on your bedside table (not a phone or iPad, lol! - the phone was something which sat in the hallway and you stayed well clear of even if it was ringing as you didn't want to get stuck with your great Aunt...lol) And where else would one be reminded of Macca's Oh Woman which I loved thirty plus years ago but haven't heard since, until your brilliant opus! Cheers and thanks again mate and glad you enjoyed Corleone Island!

Hello David...Thank you ever so much for the kind comments. It is nice to hear that you are familiar with 12 string Guitars. I have two.....one is a Fender and the other is a Martin. I am very particular about my strings that I use on them . Different woods that the Acoustic Guitars are made of and the style and gauge of strings must be compatible....So, I always choose the strings that are perfect for the Guitar even if it means trying different ones until finding the best ones.. Thank you again and it was good hearing from you.

Trying to write new tracks as I haven’t for a while but nothing jumping out at me . Videos are time consuming but will probably do a couple more . Check the running after you and man on the run if you haven’t already. Until I sort myself out might not hear any tracks from me for awhile .

Hey mate, thought of another act worth checking out, Michael Penn (he's Sean's brother and Aimee Mann's partner) Aimee is my fave female singer next to Carly Simon and Penn's work is just so good as is Mann's. I know you love The Beatles so check out if you have time their cover of 'The Two of Us' - Mann and Penn take on the Lennon/McCartney roles and it's simply brilliant, cheers mate and aveagoodweekend!

Cheers David, yes 'blue' is one of those gem of a songs with it's cool melody and nostalgic feel that hearing for the first time there's instant recognition and likeability. Glad you liked it mate.

Checked out Big Star (thanks for the tip as had no idea about them - they didn't chart here in AUS and apparently not even big in their own country) great band and yes there's def McCartney influence in the music (not so vocals, although they're great) they remind me a little bit of the Jayhawks (band I really got into in the 90's - check out 'Blue' by them if you get time, it's more country than Big Star's power pop. Also liked Jellyfish (admit I didn't know of them either, all these great bands...) and again power pop genre yet with hints of XTC (and dare I say it late Tears for Fears influences) with The Beatles psychedelia somewhere in there as well, brilliant!) Thanks mate for the share/tip, cheers!

Hey David, yes very familiar with McCartney's 'oh woman oh why' - bought 'Ram' on CD in the 90's (yes it took me that long to get into that Lp, lol) and it was a bonus track - I loved Wings big time as a kid, right through to 'Back to the Egg', which along with 'Venus and Mars' & 'Band on the Run' are the works of a complete genius. I and a billion or so other people on the planet back in the day made a 'mix tape' cd called 'Beatles Black Album' and I had a rule, it could only feature solo tracks from the four of which were released in '70 or '71 - nothing later as I believed they would have been, in the instance the Beatles lasted another year or so, what the four would have brought to the table to record as a group...you guessed it, 'oh woman, oh why' featured on my Black album. Mate, you would absolutely smash this and can't wait to hear it if you do decide to do it - from me it's 100 percent encouragement all the way, just do it as Nike would say!

hey David, music is great but it's at its greatest when it's shared and we get to discover bands we didn't know of or had ever heard their music (Goldfrapp is a classic example, thanks for that!) I came by way of BJM via the Dandy Warhols! Man, they were awesome and I'd play their music in the car with my kids (they were little at the time) and they knew the words to 'we used to be friends' lol - was that a good or a bad thing...haha! BJM and the Dandy's rivalled each other back in the day and like the Stones and Beatles I think they brought the best out of each other creatively. Great discovering new music or revisiting old for sure! Cheers mate.

May have been a glitch when you uploaded them. I can't think of any reason why SC would link your music to the Southern US hip hop drug scene (trap music) lol. Charts are a joke anyway. You can amend the sub-genre without deleting the song if you go into edit song.

Hey David, just played the 12 minute DFA remix of 'Slide In' - yeah, it's awesome - I feel like this band's the thinking person's Kylie and I am really getting into the lush soundscapes they create - sort of a sweeter version of Yazoo - if you have time check out Brian Jonestown Massacre's Anenome (one of my fave songs of all time - kinda got a bit of Goldfrapp buzz/vibe to it yet plays darker) cheers mate!

Hi David, very much looking forward to the Goldfrapp cover - I recall them being a band and knowing of them as I continued to buy all the trades (NME, Rolling Stone etc) but they escaped my attention as was into likes of Ryan Adams and Aimee Mann at the time (still into Mann as she's simply brilliant). Played 'Happiness' and also the other two you referenced and yeah they're great songs for sure (what a lush soundscape they achieve)! They've got a Eurythmics feel yet there's also a bit of Minogue in there (although this girl can actually sing and doesn't need SA&W, lol!) Checked our (OZ) chart history and yes, they had quite a bit of success here. Can't wait for your version! Cheers mate!
