Recording Advice
Sep 14, 2010
I am just wondering if anyone can suggest the best possible route for home studio recording with PC.
I have Cakewalk Sonar and Cubase, A pdl board with DI USB output, and mics.
I also have a drum sequencing program, DKFH to add programmed drums.
I am asking what it is exactly that I will need from a computer to host and perform correctly with multiple programs running.
Should an Intel i5, windows 7 64bit, 4gbRAM and 750gb HD with 2 T external HD support what I desire?
As well as having 5.1 Surround system, I will need to know what soundcards seem to function the best for their (resonable priced of course) dollar.
Thanks

Thanks for viewing my page. My name is Jason and I'm a guitarist from Toronto, Canada. As you can tell by my videos, I'm a huge metal-inspired musician. I am currently involved in a band to which we are looking for a singer, and some of my inspirations include All Thar Remains, Lamb of God, In Flames, As I Lay Dying, Meshuggah, and Dream Theater. So basically, I'm looking for a top caliber musician to fill the vocal void. Either way, once I start recording and tracking the drums, you will get a sense to what style, and talent level will be our music.
So thanks again, and let music live!
Cheers
