Born and bred in Zimbabwe, I was drawn by the African rhythms that eminated from the townships of Bulawayo. I taught myself how to play bass guitar and percussion and spent my time jamming with the local musicians. In 1976 I left Zimbabwe for Cape Town, South Africa where I persued my musical ambitions.
