This is the An international band, three members from the United States of America and one from Sweden. Virtual because we never met in real life, and we're not sure what the outcome would be if we did...
Story behind the song
Since having done a Christmas song in 2006 (Mustang Santa) we played with the idea of making it annual, and we did. The song was recorded in October - November 2007.
The tracks was recorded at location by the individual members of the band and the uploaded to a secure Internet site or by e-mail to Sweden where the final mix took place.
The picture is a part of the 1971 Christmas plate from Bing & Grøndahl, Copenhagen, Denmark.
Lyrics
In a world full of turmoil, confusion and pain
we ought to reach out to each other
sing a song, and share some hope once again
There’s plenty of singers, yeah, there's plenty of songs
thinking bout that that holiday spirit
between us all, and don't you know, that's where it belongs
And that's all it takes, sing a song to a child
light him up, make her sparkle
Yeah, that's all it takes, you'll make frown disappear
when you just give a little
put a smile on your face, find your self a good tune
now, and go out and share it
Yeah, that's all it takes, you got the power in your hands
if you're willing to give it a try
Our circle of friends have a notion, that maybe music can share
that feeling of pleasure
to know there's hope and that there's ways to repair
The hurt and the sadness, that so many friends in the world must endure
so in our tradition
we'll take this time for a song and our hope to ensure.
That, that's all it takes, sing a song to a child
light him up, make her sparkle
Yeah, that's all it takes, you'll make frown disappear
when you just give a little
Put a smile on your face, find your self a good tune
now, and go out and share it
Yeah, that's all it takes, you got the power in your hands
if you're willing to give it a try
SO COOL CREATION ALL! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
