Ryan "DJ BlackJack" Downing was born June 3, 1990 in West Trenton, New Jersey. Influenced from his mothers music from an early age, he grew up listening to Notorious BIG, 112, New Edition and many others. Already a talented singer with an ear for music at the age of three, his tastes and talent expanded over the years. At the age of 16, he began writing and rhyming his own lyrics for fun, and honed his skills as a young MC. After graduating high school his passions shifted from rapping over the beats to making them after experimenting with FL Studio. His choice in genre has expanded from hip hop instrumentals to others including heavy metal and other forms of rock. He is currently owner and founder of "Quarantine Records", member of the band "SF Monday", and the primary featured artist and official music provider for Parenthetical Publication. He lives, breathes, sleeps and eats music. He will continue perfecting his skills and expand his music.
