Pop or country-cross over song for people who do not know that some day they are going to miss someone who they are taking for granted.
Southern California song writer.
Story behind the song
Every family has one or more kids that don't think they need their parents and/or takes them for granted. I was thinking about that when I wrote this song.

There's Something You Don't Know

1st Verse:
You're still too young to realize how time works,
how time flies.
You think that now will last forever.
What's out of sight and out of mind
soon gets lost and left behind.
But, someday you'll remember.
Chorus:
There's somethin you don't know,
but you're going to miss me.
By the time you figure it out, I'm gonna be history.
You'll be hurting with all of your heart,
wishing you could see me again.
But it's somethin you don't know. You don't know.
2nd Verse:
Your new best friend was not the guy
who smiled with pride the
day of your graduation.
He wasn't at your side, the night you cried,
when you broke your arm,
and you needed consolation.
Bridge:
A picture of me on the wall,
won't give you a hug or provide you consultation.
But there's something you don't know.
Repeat Chorus:
