Story behind the song
After meeting and talking to a lady I was reminded that the best kind of love is not in some exciting place but right there in your heart.
Lyrics
Simple Kind of Love By Doug Buche copr 2011 1st verse: Why don’t we just stay at home and start a fire tonight. We can cuddle on the couch, turn down the lights. We don’t even have to turn the radio on. We can make our own music all night long. 2nd Verse: When we get up in the morning, we can cook some eggs. You wear nothing but your apron, show off your pretty legs. I will fry us up some bacon, while you butter the toast. It’s these simple little things that we love the most. Chorus: It’s all right, OK. I wouldn’t want it any other way. Because it’s fun, simply fun, to be in love with you. 3rd Verse: We don’t need to be in New York or Paris, France. We get excited with the music and the way we dance. We don’t have to be put up in some fancy hotel. A little cabin by a lake would suit us just as well. 4th Verse: Our love is kind, like in Corinthians. It doesn’t boast, it’s not proud, but it sure is fun. It won’t move move mountains or send us into outer space. But it stays in our hearts and it stays in place. Chorus: It’s all right, OK. I wouldn’t want it any other way. Because it’s fun, simply fun, to be in love with you. Bridge: This love isn’t like old wine that’s turning sour. It’s not like soda pop that’s losing it’s fizz. It keeps getting better, each and every hour. I love the way it is. Repeat first verse and fade: Why don’t we just stay at home and start a fire tonight. We can cuddle on the couch and turn down the lights. We don’t even have to turn the radio on. We can make our own music all night long . . . . . . .fade rest of chorus . . .
