This is me as a rock and acoustic - singer-songwriter type - musician, Rock Bernd or just Bernd, respectively. I'm three. Sort of. Bernd, the lyricist who writes for others (bands, solo musicians, composers), Rock Bernd, the home office rocker, and the (once in a while performing) singer-songwriter guy.

Long time songwriter, singer, performer, producer, engineer, experimenter I have been writing songs since age 7 (first song, walking home from school was 'It's God's Fault'.) Never stopped writing and as soon as possible recording on anything I could get my hands on. Dad's Sony reel-to-reel, cassette recorders, ping-ponging to achieve semblance of multitracking. Then proper 4-track machines, then 8, then 16, then digital (early 80s) then in million dollar studios where I managed too often...
Going it alone for the time being. Moved to Sedona from Tucson and back again in the last 10 years. While in Sedona, I was able to concentrate on getting my ann BIO: With influences ranging from Tom Petty to Bonnie Raitt and from Joni Mitchell to Yes, Rita lives for pop melodies and Guitar and Bass hooks. Rita's 'go to' Guitar has been the YAMAHA acoustic she got in Seattle when she lived there for 3 years in the late 70s-80s and got her start as 'street musician' at the Pike Street Market.
