Story behind the song
A dyslexic rythmic song
Lyrics
Cant find the Beginning She works in restaurant only an aqaintence to me Theres something familiar in the way she holds her hands When she talks so quietly Her future so wide open My conversation smile seems jaded I feel out of place and tainted Her sweet face is no consolation Chorus ; I can’t find the beginning Takes us back when we were winning To the beginning When we were winning. I carry an old photograph with me Edges torn and frayed That’s my history Sometimes I think I misplaced it I know it will come falling back Like a memory Keepsake shine with discovery I found her secret treasure With a gentle touch of persuasion Lost my way somehow , someday I was in a midnight cloud Of constellations Chorus twice . Thanx for stoppin' by and your thumbs-up,Dave!All of the songs you've commented upon are the colloborative efforts,-would have been impossible to do just by myself.Black Lace was remastered by Andy Britton,-very promising independent mix-master,musician .And Dawnsy,Amy,Princess of Scotland...well,y'know. I'm raising my hat for this brave experimental tune of yours. As was remarked earlier,-it's a melting of different styles and themes,-I like this approach very much.Cool additions of the speech samples.Clean Guitar solo is very happenin',too.Actually,I think that this is the way to go for something that can fit into the modern way of sonic expressions. Here you are quite a pioneer,at least for me. Some rhythmical inconsistensies are there, unfortunately, but they are not blurrin' the general impression of something new and interesting. Best!

Dave, This song has a very different sound....it's great, too. You have away of keeping your own style about you. Awesome guitarwork ,instruments, and percussion. Nice lyrics, Lovely vocals!!!!!!!

This song is most unusual, David. Like Tony said, it's a collage of sounds/styles..you did a good job of bringing it all together. Production was good, my friend, tho I can't figure out how you manage to bring the instruments forward, and leave your vocal back in the background, yet it can still be understood.....I've noticed that same thing on quite a few of your songs. :) And, I thank you for your compliments, kind sir; you're a lot of fun to work with, and I was glad to help you out. :) You know the drill, if you need help, just ask. :) Have a good one. Your friend, Tammy

Hi Dave, This is quite a collage of sounds/styles. Your accoustic guitars sound super as well as your electric leads. You get sounds out of that Toneport I cannot even imagine. Chorus is strong in the song. Liked the ending drums as well. Nice Work.
