Story behind the song
I went to a bank three times asking for a loan to purchase mechanical licenses rights to some cover songs that were going on my debut Album "ScuffleTown Blues". Even after seeing the deed and abstract for my property along with the business plan AND the master recording and the list of prices from the catalouge holders, I was turned down by small minded folk living in a small town. Shortly after this dissappointment I closed my account with this bank and wrote "The Banker Song" as it is called by my friends.
