Aurora-project is a 5-piece band from North England, which plays original rock and metal music, with influences ranging from folk and classical, to metal and heavy rock. Formed in 2006, the band is fronted by singer Lisa, and features Jim on guitar, Rob on mandolin and viola, Gaz on bass and Paul on drums. All five members are experienced musicians, having been involved in a wide variety of musical projects, events and bands, and each member brings in their own influences to make Aurora-Project’s music somewhat unique, and exciting to listen to. This band is not afraid to experiment with different rhythms, key, tonality and scale. Driven by heavy guitar and drums and bass, the listener can expect all the excitement of heavy rock and metal, decorated by the classical/folk/gypsy-influenced mandolin and viola parts, with a melodic vocal melody. Having written enough songs to play a fun and exciting set, Aurora-Project is now gearing up to booking shows across the UK, and hopes to have a professionally recorded demo EP available in the near future.

Lyrics
See this fear building up inside of me Trying to find some sort of contingency Happiness is not only a state of mind Give me something I might find You’re the reason I go on living in this place Striving with this feeling running through my veins Finding fault with the world at its best The hardest feeling dealing with my unrest Help me realise Help me find my way out Help me rationalise Help me visualise The darkest clouds are hanging right over me Give me light, shine it on my apathy Contented more than I’ve ever been There’s no-one left to hear me scream Chorus In the place where I’m alone with my cries Broken down It’s myself that I do despise In the end we know what we’ve done Time to deal with it and carry on. Chorus
