A wandering song about endless searching...
joanna lavan female girl
Artist picture
Female sung straight-forward rock with a touch of darkness...literally
All my songwriting comes from a place of total honesty and a sense of sarcasm. I sing about love and all the emotional complexities of being in love, losing yourself, toughening yourself up and all in all the struggles of being alive.

Story behind the song
This song is about losing yourself in the worst way. To the extreme where you feel you are just walking the world in a half state of existance. It's a song about not knowing where you begin or end and wondering how to fill in the blanks. Most of all - it's a song about wanting to feel settled but realizing you will always be wandering and misplaced forevermore. In essence - it's a pretty happy song that I think evokes images of puppies and smiley faces.
Lyrics
When you left me here that night You said, "Here are some things you might like - but you can't keep your soul, these are some things you should know." I don't like who I've become I want out When are you coming back? She doesn't even know my name How will she know how to find me again Will she remember my face These are some things, I wanta know I don't like who I've become I want out When are you coming back 'Cuz I'm just wandering I'm just wandering...
