Story behind the song
I was thinking about the yin and the yang and how this universe is composed of opposites and it inspired the lyrics. My friend and producer, Ian Wallace, came up with a techno electronic backing for my vocals and what had been an acoustic folk-style song. It was published on a CD of library music - Pop Vocals and Instrumentals - by Off The Shelf Music and found its way on to several episodes of Channel 5's popular soap 'Family Affairs' getting played in party scenes. Because it is under contract with Off The Shelf I am unable to offer it for free downloads.
Lyrics
Here is the sound of the sun Here is the sound of the sun Here is the sound, here's the sound of the moon Here is the sound of love Here is the sound of love Here is the sound of a new born baby's cry Here is the sound of Krishna Here is the sound of Shiva Here is the sound of the Buddha and all the rest Here is the sound of one, here is the sound of one Here is the sound of infinity Here is the sound of man, here is the sound of man Here is the sound, the sound of war Here is the sound of the devil And here is the sound of an angel Here is the sound of whatever deity you choose Here is the sound of Venus and all the places in between us Here is the sound of our planetary home Here is the sound of a woman in a rage Here is the sound of a chrysalis cage Here is the sound of a butterfly Here is the sound of the game And here is the man with no name Here is the sound of a ticking clock 1-2-3-4 Mother Nature's at the door 5-6-7-8 don't you know it's getting late Here is the sound of tribal dance Here is the sound of our last chance Here is the sound of a beating heart Here is the sound of one, here is the sound of one Here is the sound of infinity
