Sirk a.k.a. Kristian Wølner comes from a small place in the countryside just outside Oslo, Norway, where, in addition to creating music, he works as an organic farmer. After some rather disastrous attempts at playing bass in a punk band and keyboards in an experimental duo in the early eighties, purchasing a computer in 1997 gave Sirk's career in music a new chance. Sirk's free form of slow electronica (including ambient, downtempo and world fusion) garnered many listeners and fans. He also collaborated with a number of great artists over the internet such as vocalists Louise Fraser (UK) and Sandhya Sanjana (India), and Christopher Wing a.k.a. WalkSkipRunGlide (US). Sirk's music has been featured on compilation CDs and is regularly played on the great electronica program called dj.Friendly on Norwegian Radio LATEST: is a sideproject from Sirk (Kristian Wølner) for his more ambient and experimental stuff.

Story behind the song
I made three little tracks back in 2001 which at the time went under the name of the Baltic Trilogy.During thenext two years no less than 4 other musicians from the MP3 Com "society" made different types of remakes and remixes of the tunes, and I also made one remix of Wizzard of Tallinn that turned into its own tune called Baltic Nightsong. So now I have finally compiled all this music into one album, with some small changes in the mix here and there.I have removed that "Baltic" theme form the titles, as I find that idea rather silly in retrospect. I think it still comes together as an hour of chilly floating music that functions very well together, and still sounds pretty good 5 years later.
