Lyrics
The snow is falling as it has for days. Each flake a thought in the windswept maze. Each fallen angel melts In the Hell of my fire. Lift the receiver of the telephone, But all I hear is a distant drone Just like the wind Beyond my icy window. I sent a letter, but it was returned. “No such person, Address unknown.” I said, “The snow is falling as it has for days…” The stamp was missing, ink smeared by a tear. That perfumed scent said you’d held it near, But it dropped to the ground, A snowflake falling. I saw a deer on the ridge last night. I looked again but she was gone from sight. How do these warm souls vanish Before desire? I sent a letter, but it was in vain. “No such person, what do you hope to gain?” I said, “This snow it blankets all the warmth I’ve known…” This snow it blankets all the warmth I’ve known. It dulls the sense that I am alone. New Spring may come or eternal Winter. I sent a letter, but it was to me. “No such person, why can’t you see?” I said, “The heart’s an ember that will just burn on…” The heart’s an ember that will just burn on. It makes no sense with its fiery song. The snow may smother, But the heart smolders ever.

This one gave me chills too. Your songs have such amazing imagery and vision. Don't know if you are familiar with it but this would sound right at home on the soundtrack to a game called Alan Wake. Wonderful. Craig

Very nice composition and brilliant poetry. The verse.: I sent a letter, but it was to me. “No such person, why can’t you see?” I said, “The heart’s an ember that will just burn on…” Really nice turn in the story. Love this.

I love this one Larry, the simplicity and the textures very nice arpeggiated piano and great lyrics with the emotive vocals.
