Queen of the Cover Songs...
This is something I'm doing just for fun -- to live out a lifelong dream since the age of around 7 or so when I realized that I could carry a tune (without the use of a bucket!) and it didn't sound bad. Much love and thanks go to those in my SoundClick family (and now beyond!) who helped to encourage/challenge me to spread my wings to try this out and continue to take it to the next level. Without your kind support I'd still be just a listener (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Story behind the song
This isn't the Carole King song that I really wanted to do (I'm still waiting to get the music for that one) but this one came out pretty good. I used a karaoke backing track (that includes harmonies) as with all my covers and experimented with multiple voice tracks (copies of the same recording), a little bit of compression, and just a wee little bit of reverb on a couple tracks. Thanks MC for bringing to my memory a song i liked a lot and passed many years without listening. The vocals are awesome and soulful, a great tribute to the one of Carole King's best songs. Backing track is excellent too. That's the way !

Nailed it! I wouldn't say this unless I felt it was 100% true. Very impressive MC, I feel so much more passion in your vocals now, you have taken this song and you are in control - a true vocalist! I know this song well and there are phrases where it would be easy to end up slightly flat, but you are spot on. Lovely expression and phrasing - I could really believe I am listening to Carole King on this one, you sound like a seasoned professional - excellent stuff!
