george: Wow, pretty sick. My only crit-comment is the vocals could use a tad reverb. Other than that very killer instrumentation. Very awesome rhythms. Very cool use of ambient sounds/talking. Lyrics are fitting and easy to follow. Totally didn't see this kind of music coming from you when I dl'ed it but I'm really happy to have heard it.
zach: I didn't like it [...] I think one, the lack of reverb on the vocals makes it sound like the vocals have been taken, removed, and thrown on top of this backing song. as if its been disembodied. not a good effect. and then the backing song is just way too active to fit the nature of the vocal melody, and lyrics. it's a really ambitious thing, busy... dance-floor esque. and I think it doesn't fit. and pairing the two together, the backing mix just sounds cheesy to be honest. too varied, too over-the-top, too much coming out of nowhere, not enough setting up of themes and supporting the vocals.
thomas (le meme): I totally disagree. While I don't think the backing is the most inventive thing in the world, I definitely wouldn't call it cheesy. Also, I think adding reverb on the vocals would cause a total disconnect between the vocals and the backing, since the backing is cold and electronic where reverb is a warm and organic sounding effect. I think adding reverb would make the whole thing jarring, and they'd possibly get lost in the mix.
