Story behind the song

So I was about to leave the house to get a haircut but picked up my guitar on the way and started playing some sh** and thought 'hey, I quite like this I should probably record it', so I jotted down some rough lyrics and recorded myself playing it in one take and this is what came out. At one point I thought I'd ruptured my head and I'm still not convinced I haven't five minutes later.
