Finger style and Acoustic Progressive guitar, flute, synth and Mellotron.
Welcome to the music of Carlo D'Anna's Ridiculous Dream music. Also known as "Dream Warrior" in some circles. Influences and music styles ranging from basic to progressive rock, with definite Retro seventies sound. If you enjoy the sound of Moody Blues, George Harrison, Genesis, Dead Can Dance, and others of the same style, more or less, you will probably like this music. I use quite a bit of Mellotron and acoustic fingerstyle guitar as well.

Story behind the song
Part 1: The time traveler, after consulting the mystics, descends the seven steps of lighter slumber, then the seven steps of deeper slumber to slip through time and space. Part 2: moving between the boundaries of time and the folds of the cosmos, the traveler catches a glimpse of the Hounds of Tindalos, they in turn notice the Time Traveler. They give pursuit, but the traveler somehow temporarily evades them. Part 3: The Time Traveler, now reposed in present time, lives in dread for fear of the Hounds pursuit. Part 4: The Hounds of Tindalos again pursue their quarry. Part 5: Aftermath

This is such a HUGE canvas you've painted here Carlo. The production and playing is totally 'out of this World'. What an imagination . . .and yep, there just aren't enough stars available to give you for this masterpiece.

If I could only travel in time... What a journey that would be. So much to see.. so much I have wanted to do in my life. And traveling in time has been one thing I have always wished for. LIke the unknown drives me crazy.. And this music just takes my imagination to the highest level. I love it!

Wow Carlo! A very ambitious piece of work. I love the 'wailing beast' sound about 40 seconds in. Fantastic!

Love the tones on the long drone notes - are they guitars or synths? Great melodies weaving in and out, and amazing percussion. A real otherwordly feel - very creative, and I love the way you use unusual notes and chords. Yeah it's 5 stars all night long.

I had to check there wasn't anything lurking at the threshold after this! Really captured HPL's theme of something always there, just out of sight, promising delight, delivering darkness! Top-notch Carlo, a mythos masterpiece.
