Story behind the song
This song was originally written while I was in the military and watching the military and the federal government trying to take away medical benefits from military retirees. I just modified the lyrics to apply to health care in general.

Hi Marlan, Talk about a sign of the times. I agree Healthcare is all bent. I am not sure of the best solution. But you have definitely outlined the issue here. I sure know Obama care is not the answer. That is a money grab and nothing more. Of course I had my similiar confessional in my song Hope and Change. I am glad to see you saying what is on your mind. Some people dont like that.

Excellent song and message Marlan. I have to admit, here in Canada we've been pretty lucky as far as health care and benefits but even for us it's not like it was years ago.

This is a subject that's maybe specific to the States at this point in time,; so your lyrics are very poignant and heart felt. But, all's not a all a bed of roses with our, 'National Health Service' here in the UK; well at least it's free . . .for the moment . . . interesting off-beat and a great stuttering ending, cool.

Healthcare seems to be a global problem - congratulations on coming up with such poignant lyrics and encouraging everyone to focus on this issue - it's a subject we can all relate to. Great job on the video too - love the avant garde styling and minimalist visuals.

Great message !!! The whole medical system is wrong wrong wrong. Only those with insurance get help and as soon as THEY find out you have insurance THEY act as if there is a money tree. ohhh THEY say.........WE are charging the insurance company,that doesn't affect you as an individual.So we will bring up the price times three..no four ...hmmm 5 should do H E L L O !!!
