Story behind the song
We must never stop helping those who really are down and need our help in spite of the crookedness they may display. Poor people, they are constantly struggling to survive. It is up to us to help them win the struggle and get the victory. Then once again Up Pops the V. I myself being homeless understand what it like to be nobody and to see the lack of understanding and cruelty of people in this cold world. Some people treat those who are poor as if they are animals and talk down to them and desire what terms they will help them on without ever trying to find out their true needs. Chump change and a meal may not be what someone is asking for. They may be asking for security, someone who cares and encouragement. It is very easy to blame and condemn someone who is already down. Usually when we are most unattractive or caught in a fault or our reputation is destroyed that is when those who we depend on are not there or are condemning us. At that point, though we look ugly, what we really need is LOVE. So it is with the golden rule and so it is with the Love of God for how can we love God who we cannot see and hate and condemn our brother who we can see? Did God condemn us while we were ugly? Did He not love us? Even so we must love our neighbor as He has poured His love into us. No matter how lowly esteemed your neighbor is to you in your eyes may you love them and help them in love: not your way but the way that they need: the way of God.

your rhythmic approach vocally is as striking as your falsetto passages.. i like the contrast between the verse and falsetto sections.. the light percussion instead of a hammer drum beat is very sweet.. boyant rhythms.. the lightness of brotherly love..
