Welcome to the music of Carlo D'Anna's Ridiculous Dream music. Also known as "Dream Warrior" in some circles. Influences and music styles ranging from basic to progressive rock, with definite Retro seventies sound. If you enjoy the sound of Moody Blues, George Harrison, Genesis, Dead Can Dance, and others of the same style, more or less, you will probably like this music. I use quite a bit of Mellotron and acoustic fingerstyle guitar as well.

Story behind the song
From a hiking guide book about the trail: The valley makes a great place to stop for a leisurely picnic. Sit and enjoy the quiet music of the stream tumbling over icy rocks. Listen to the songs of the birds flitting through the branches of the trees above: gray jays, as always, dominate the air when there is any chance they can beg--or steal--a meal from hikers. Relax in the soothing peace that covers all visitors to these cathedral forests, which are made all the more peaceful by the quiet of winter.

I love the way this track paints such a vivid picture - this is music at its best...when it can convey more than words or visuals and when it touches that indefinable inner self. Superb work.

Very cool my friend, it was a very inspired idea the use of Mellotron sound banks and the way you used it. I can feel forest groove even I never been there...

Currently the species homo sapiens ( you, me, and yes the North Koreans too ) faces two major problems. One - he knows too much ( after all : he has been around since the beginning of time ( of consciousness I prefer...... Please...... ). Two - he knows nothing ( after all : I'm a scientist myself - but don't ask me about The Spark Which Led To Life And Separated Us From Dead Matter........ Please....... ) So what do we do : we create a valley of silent men, and wait - wait until Einstein tells us that Time and Space are not absolute but... relative... Until Stephen Hawking tells us that Time Travel is possible ( at the speed of light though, I wish you luck !! )... Until... Until... Until... Until... I love your (?) mellotron - it is ancient, organic and mysterious and modern at the same. Thx for your support throughout - I appreciate, J.

What a great journey listening to this track my friend. I wasn't sure where it was going but it was quite a nice jouney and I enjoyed the variety of sounds that were layered all through this splendid 4:20 ride!
