Story behind the song

It's about a girl I knew who was diagnosed schizophrenic and admitted to a mental hospital. She would send me letters and poetry...the poems would usually start off innocently and decend into something altogether more sinister. The inspiration for this song was from one such letter when she revealed that she'd stopped hearing the voices.
