I'm a singer/songwriter who has played in various choirs, bands and solo for over half my life. I'm definitely NOT trying to be a rock star, but I enjoy perform

Story behind the song
A good girlfriend of mine in High School was upset about a break-up and had to deal with facing him in school everyday. I wrote this based on her experience and our discussions after the break-up.
Lyrics
Once in a while, when the lights are low I can still see that certain glow That made me love you like no one else before Made me believe in you and want you even more And once in a while, when I think of you Holdin' back the tears is all I can do I lie away at night, wondering what went wrong Knowing you loved me - Hey, it hasn't been that long Cause I remember the good time I'll never forget all those right times You gave me more than life, you gave me love Now I must find a way to rise above We've both grown stronger as time has passed us by I feel the pain no longer, I've learned how not to cry If someone happens to say your name, I've taught myself to smile But still I feel like I could love you Once in a while
