Lyrics
Sometimes you're meant to be a traveler Goin' up that road alone. But when you're young, these life's lessons have not been taught By nights of longing or staring at a phone. But when you're on a road That's heading home The miles draw away from your troubles. All those cares behind you And those empty nights are fading. One trip home was there I met her Standing in the cold of the rain soaked night. With her smile that gave me shelter From my storm of longing And living on my own. But when you're on a road That's heading home The miles draw you to that harbor. All those cares behind you And those empty nights are fading. And so goes a common story Of all the joy and glory That soon gets turned around. First she will say, "I love you" Then the words will die on those lips That once held your smile. Sometimes you want to be a traveler Goin' up that road alone. So I was young and these life's lessons were taught to me By nights of longing or staring at a phone. But when you're on a road That's going nowhere The miles stretch out unending. All those cares before you And those empty nights are calling. All those cares before you And those empty nights are calling. ...are calling.

Love this song Larry ! Just woke up, having my 1st cup of java and just drifting away with this piece. Opening vocals has that Alan Parsons Project vibe to it ( and you know I love the AP Project). Vocals are smooth as silk and a joy to listen to. Have a wonderful week my friend Gabe

Larry, I really like the sound of this. Your vocals have a Neil Young quality. Great arrangement and lyrics.
