The music kept us rocking like we knew it would with Elvis, Buddy Holly, and Johnny B Goode The beat kept growing stronger - movin so fast someone said it couldn't last. Chorus Then the Fab Four came to hold your hand with Twist and Shout , she loves you ya ya ya Frank Zappa and the Mothers and the boys in "The Band" were writing songs the ol folk wouldn't understand. Chorus Rock n Roll kept burning higher and higher with Stairway to Heaven and Baby - Light my Fire The Rolling Stones kept playin' as the years went by Keep the Band a rockin - It'll NEVER die! Chorus They said Rock n Roll would fade away Long live rock n roll is what we say (repeat) Long Live Rock n Roll - It's HERE TO STAY YAY YAH YAH YAH ... rock n roll.
