It is for listeners to decide how they would describe my music when they have a chance to hear a range of material. I've only just started recording. Keep watc
I played bass in a band at Walbottle school, the T-set, with Dave Robinson from Throckley, Bri Swanson, Lemington, and Ken Wright, also Throckley, and started writing songs at this stage. I continued for a while in Dobbin with Bri and Ian Shield, also of Lemington, doing vocals and bits and pieces under Bri's direction - and did more writing. We also did a couple of them together. I then spent a few years concentrating on work and family, with some more writing in fairly recent times, until the lure of performing again (since 2005) became too much to resist! The songwriting had to go on hold for a while as I continued to work full-time until Oct 2010 whenever possible but I have written a few new songs over the last couple of years such as 'Butterflies'. See more details below and check for regular updates.

Story behind the song
Well it's just a bit of in-house fun from Apr 08, AM does guitar and vocal, I did bass and vocal. No dubz here! The bass riff was D5, 7, G5, 7 if I remember.
Lyrics
Sitting back thinking of you Summer time, think it was June Yeah, think it was June Laying back, head on the grass Chewing gum, having some laughs, Yeah, having some laughs You made me feel like the one You made me feel like the one, the one Sleeping in the back of my car We never went far Didn't need to go far You made me feel like the one You made me feel like the one, the one I don't know where we are going now I don't know where we are going now Wake up call, coffee and juice Remembering you, What happened to you? I wonder if we'll meet again Talk about life since then Talk about how did it end. You made me feel like the one x2 I don't know where we are going now x2 So take a look at me now x8

Great Bass beginning, strumming, great vocals in this, Excellent song structure. Love this, very sad in a way like there is a loss of someone or sometime. Looking back hurts a lot to me. Thank you for this, Darrell
