Story behind the song
Written by the Norse (Norwegian) fiddler and songwriter Sigrid Moldestad. Kristi pa Stia was a female fiddler without feet, said to have lived at Husevagsstien around 1800. She was a very popular fiddler and was carried to play her hardanger fiddle at weddings etc. in a basket.
